It is used in patients with liver dysfunction due to acute or chronic damage (toxic, alcoholic, viral, and drug-induced hepatitis), as well as with intrahepatic cholestasis in chronic diffuse liver diseases (alcoholic liver disease, toxic liver injury, liver fibrosis and sclerosis, fatty liver degeneration, and chronic hepatitis).
